We explain which cookies and similar technologies the website kiroptera.com uses and how you decide about them.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Other technologies work in a similar way, for example the browser’s local storage (localStorage). Below, we use the term cookies for all of them.

First-party cookies are set by the website you visit, and third-party cookies by external providers. Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser, while persistent cookies remain stored until they expire or are deleted.

3. Legal basis

The use of cookies is governed by Article 225 of the Slovenian Electronic Communications Act (ZEKom-2). Storing information on your device and accessing it is allowed only if you have consented after being given clear and comprehensive information about the controller and the purposes of processing. Consent is not required for technical storage carried out solely to transmit a communication, or where it is strictly necessary for a service you have explicitly requested.

4. Which cookies we use

4.1 Strictly necessary

  • Name: kiroptera_consent_v1 (browser local storage)

  • Provider: kiroptera.com (first party)

  • Purpose: stores your cookie choice

  • Duration: 12 months, after which we ask for your choice again

  • Consent: not required (Article 225(2) ZEKom-2)

4.2 External content (YouTube)

We show videos through YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). The player loads only when you click “Play video” or allow external content in the cookie settings. Google Ireland Limited may then store cookies and similar data on your device. Google determines the names and duration of these cookies, and details are in its privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. These cookies require your consent.

4.3 Cookie-free visitor statistics

For visitor statistics we use Framer’s built-in analytics, which does not use cookies or create persistent identifiers, so no consent is required for it. More on this in our Privacy Policy.

4.4 Analytics and advertising cookies

We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If we introduce them, we will load them only with your consent and list them on this page.

5. How you manage cookies

On your first visit you can accept or reject cookies or make a selection in the settings. You can change your choice or withdraw your consent at any time through the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.

7. Changes

We may amend this cookie policy, in particular when we introduce new tools. The current version is always published on this page.
